Beyond Networking is a workshop to teach students how to communicate effectively and make meaningful connections in a virtual world.

College life is going to be different for a while. As the saying goes, whether you think it’s good or bad, you’re right.

Why not make the most of it?

Human connection specialist Brian Miller is a former magician turned author, international speaker, and podcast host. His book Three New People was praised by Publishers Weekly for “brilliantly outlining a system for deepening relationships.” His podcast Beyond Networking recently cracked the Top 200 under ‘Careers’ on Apple. And his TEDx talk “How to Magically Connect with Anyone” has been viewed over 3 million times worldwide.

Leveraging masterful storytelling, interactive magic, and innovative virtual breakout rooms, Brian will lead your students through a series of engaging and practical exercises in human connection, designed specifically for the virtual world.

THE EXIT FILES ESCAPE ROOM

The Exit Files is a difficult game of puzzle mastery. Players will complete remotely or in person in teams of up to 10 players, with a maximum of 15 teams at once (150 players at time).  Remote players will be placed in a Zoom videoconferencing room so they can communicate with their teammates. Gamemasters will be available for hints and to check on players during the game. Some of the puzzles are easy, some are difficult. 

It was a strange day when you received an email from your eccentric uncle. Uncle John was a game designer who became very wealthy but kept to himself. Nobody in the family had seen him in years. Can your team solve the puzzles and win your Uncle’s fortune.

CELL PHONE SMACKDOWN VIRTUAL GAME SHOW

Virtual Cell Phone Smackdown is the game show that can be played from anywhere, simply by using the players’ very own cell phones!

The game includes  multiple-choice trivia questions of all types ranging from topics such as sports, geography, music, movies, U.S. history, U.S. presidents, math and more.  All of the answers and points are totaled on the big screen and at the end of each round a winner is declared.

Visit our virtual marketplace and choose from puzzles, face masks or full color street signs to have designed uniquely for you.  Puzzles and Face Masks allow you to upload an image of your choice to our marketplace form which we will then print on your selected item.  With our full color street signs you can choose your background from our list of options, provide the text to be placed on your sign and choose your abbreviations (ie: St, Ave, Way, Cr etc)   Once you place your order our designers will create your item and ship it to campus for you to enjoy.  (Items will arrive on campus within 10-14 business days.)
