S.A.R.A. SEXUAL ASSAULT RECOVERY ASSITANT
Every 73 seconds someone in the United States is sexually assaulted or raped and left with life altering PTSD. But, the resources available to survivors are inaccessible, expensive, and often times require them to come forward in a victim blaming culture.
The Survivor Stories Project is here to fix that. As a non-profit dedicated to supporting survivors, our mission is to provide resources, education, and support to survivors without asking them to report the crime, come forward, or pay a dime.
S.A.R.A. (Sexual Assault Recovery Assistant) is a mobile app that provides immediate support and long term skills to support growth and healing.
Institutional + Survivor Services: We provide educational presentations and toolkits to institutions as well as community services to survivors to help everyone become an empowered ally.
Sara is a rape survivor, award winning entertainer, and founder of the nonprofit The Survivor Stories
Project. After healing from her experience, she used her skills in design and communication to develop the first self care app for sexual assault survivors, and break the silence through advocacy, keynotes, performances, and presentations on sexual assault.
